Conduct research and write a 6-page long paper over the theme of Frontier/West on their town. Your paper will explain whether your town (or county seat) was a frontier or a west and when. Each student will think, discover, and write about how that particular place relates to the history of the U.S. West and the themes we discuss in the course.
