The objective of this assignment is to demonstrate an understanding of the characteristics someone working in external relations/fundraising. Find a person at your institution or previous institution that is involved with fundraising in some form or fashion (pick an area you are interested in or want to learn more about).  The interview should focus on the persons experiences as a development professional.  You are encouraged to use a combination of technologies (i.e. phone, e-mail, blog, etc.) to achieve the objective.  Begin the interview with the following questions. Tell me something about your work in the world of development/fundraising.  What are your key responsibilities?Describe several development experiences or projects in which you have participated.  These experiences should include internal and external processes involved with these experiences.What were some of the lessons or advice to be learn from these experiences or projects? Tell me about your most memorable experience in development?What is your least favorite experience in development?Did you experience any barriers to fundraising?How did you overcome these barriers?What motivates you to continue in this profession?As you proceed with the interview you may discover similar interests or new areas about which you would like to know more.  Use probing questions as you seek answers to questions that arise during the interview. Prepare a 3-4 page paper analyzing what you discovered during the interview.  Compare and contrast your findings with class readings.  The paper should follow guidelines outlined in the syllabus.  Submit your paper electronically in our online class.  For This or a Similar Paper Click Here To Order Now
